I assumed root version vs unroot version are the same. But uc an try download original bluestack for their website to try the linkage. If not you can try download another android emulator called Andy to do your linkage first. Andy supposingly are more designed to look like android phone with a lockscreen. So I think it should act like one real phone.
Once linkage done. Reinstall the root copy of bs and use your linked account.
