Maybe we could get this thread or some sort of information post displayed when a user signs up or is on the index page and isn't verified yet?
Maybe we could also remove accounts that are unverified and haven't been active for a long time (6 months+ perhaps). But we don't want to remove any real accounts.

Good idea, I'll try to make a plugin that shows a banner for certain user groups. As for removing those bot accounts they'll just keep making em so I figure we might limit what certain users can show on their profile per user group, so they can't have a bio/website if they're not verified yet.
