The Bytecode Club

A good place to be curious.

The community rules for our forum and wiki. Keep the conversation useful, respect the people behind it, and share responsibly.

Updated October 21, 2026

Respect the person

Challenge ideas. Keep personal attacks out of it.

Share something useful

Good questions and thoughtful answers belong here.

Keep it responsible

Respect privacy, permission, and other people's work.

01

Treat people with respect

Disagreement is welcome. Harassment, threats, discriminatory abuse, impersonation, and publishing someone's private information without permission are not.

02

Make the discussion worth reading

Use a clear title, choose the relevant forum, and include enough context for someone to help. Search existing discussions before starting a duplicate.

  • Keep replies relevant. No spam, scams, deceptive links, or repeated unsolicited promotion.
  • Share code and error messages as text. Remove passwords, tokens, and personal information first.
  • New members start in Introductions. Wiki editing is limited to Wiki Authors and administrators unless editing is opened to all logged-in members.
03

Share technical knowledge responsibly

Reverse engineering, security research, and learning how software works are part of the club. Keep your contributions lawful and respect the permissions that apply to the systems and information involved.

Do not share stolen credentials or private records, facilitate fraud, or use the club to coordinate unauthorized harm. Only post material you have the right to share.

04

How moderation works

The team may edit, move, lock, or remove content and restrict accounts to enforce these rules, protect members, or address security and legal issues. We cannot review every contribution before it appears.

Posts express their authors' views. If you spot a problem or think a moderation decision was mistaken, contact the team with a link and a short explanation. Do not send passwords or repeat sensitive material unnecessarily.

05

Respect the work and its license

Follow the license or permission attached to code, articles, and other material. Credit the source where required. Do not assume that everything linked or quoted here can be reused freely.

The site's CC0 notice applies unless otherwise specified. Separate licenses, attribution requirements, and third-party rights still apply to the material they cover.
