No to the above two posts. This option is used to attack a base when the it has equal to or greater than the trophies you can win by attacking it. Example: Say you enter 15, the bot will attack only bases which has 15 or more trophies to offer.
Which version are you using? I had this issue in 5.5.1, in 5.5.1.1 i think the issue is fixed and I haven't the issue since then.
I'm having the same issue too. I happens randomly. In troops setting I selected Barch and this error happens. Now, I have selected Use barracks, I will edit the post if it happens again.

I got the same error twice. It happened to me while it was trying to train barbs.

I honestly think they are trying to block the "sandbox attack" feature on the xmodgames.

I dont really know if this would help, the whole purpose of a game is to entertain us. If you let the bot do everything for you, you really shouldn't be playing games.
