Developing Bot

To implement the attack algorithms I actually would like it to be customization. There would be default algorithms, but an advanced user can make one from text and the bot could read it and use it to attack.

This would make the bot more controllable and the syntax for making the algorithm should be easy to make.

Some observations of V4P-A:

When I went to locate barracks, the popup windows with Continue/Cancel/Try Again all said "Click Continue then click on your first barrack." The window's title was correct, but the description text is not updated. Very small, i know...

As was already said, admin rights are needed so I put #requireadmin to get the .au3 version working. I did this since I have 64-bit. It solved the problem of the "locate barrack" function only recognizing clicks outside of bluestacks.

For both versions: the bot does not recognize the game as in the main screen and cycles through restarting bluestacks:

"[5:46:08 PM] Bot is starting...
[5:46:10 PM] Not in main screen, Restarting BlueStacks...
[5:46:13 PM] Waiting for Clash Of Clans to Load
[5:47:57 PM] Could not automatically load Clash Of Clans
[5:47:58 PM] Not in main screen, Restarting BlueStacks...
[5:48:01 PM] Waiting for Clash Of Clans to Load
[5:48:08 PM] Bot has stopped"

I manually stopped the bot. Any ideas on this?

@Squrl Okay, thanks for this feedback I needed to know if that would work on everyone, yet it does not so I will later improve this function to work for everyone.

Also I forgot to change the text in Locating Barrack, so it may say the same thing.

Hello,

I am a lead software developer for a living and a huge clash fan. I have developed several AutoIt bots for several games but never in collaboration.

During my winter break, I wanted to look into developing an Autoit script on a bluestacks platform but it seems like there are many bots out there already with the same idea except this one is community based.

I just spent the half day reading all of the pages in this thread, I must say great initiative and great work! It's incredible to see the amount of progress that was made in such a small period of time.

I just tested out ver 3 with AtoZ's attack algorithm, I had a compile issue with the resolution check but besides that, it shows a lot of promise.

This project is getting pretty big and with so many members willing to contribute, can I suggest we implement some kind of source control? If interested, what is everyone's preference? I am used to SVN but I think a git project would work great here too. I can set one up if Antitode and/or GkevinOD are OK with it.

Second, some sort of bug / enhancement tracker so a developer can take ownership so we don't step on each other's feet. What's your take on this?

Third, I offer my skills on this. I have started working on some tweaks and improvements, mainly the attack algorithms because I myself barch. But I am willing to work on anything, I already have some "inspiration" after testing out the other bots out there. I also think GkevinOD (sorry if it wasn't you)'s UI suggestion was amazing. I also love the debug textbox, incredibly helpful.

Anyway, I'll be playing around with the bot on my end and once maybe we get in contact with each other, we can start organizing this so we can be more efficient in offering an awesome Clash bot!

Kaz

hey kaz, nice you want to contribute with this project=)
@Antidote already created a git but i dont want to give out the link, since i dont know in how far the git is thought to be public😉
so just wait for him he'll come back tomorrow afaik 😉
nice to finally have an advanced progger now 🙂

welcome 🙂

I will drop FastFind and try ImageSearch UDF. I find that FastFind is not really needed for the bot and I used it twice in Pre-Alpha v004 which was not really needed. It is also has bugs and is not reliable, I can use ImageSearch for the current functions of FastFind and implement more with ImageSearch.

Next release will be Pre-Alpha v004.2 and it will fix some minor bugs and use ImageSearch.

Good to know!
@Antidote I made a project in debungle to keep track of issues / features. Let me know if you're interested in using it.
Thanks!

i've been pretty afk the last few day
@GkevinOD what are you working on atm?

Dec 29, 2014#568

@kojometa Right now I'm working on implementing imagesearch and replacing FastFind. Also I am going to be working on the attack functions for v004 and above

hey guys once again.. im here to help hope this tweak would help us if you want this tweak i will teach you guys how can you use this.. 🙂

I just wanted to call attention to this post again. It seems to be a compilation of silhouettes of every building, at varying angles and sizes. Madalilng, can you expand on how it can be used? It seems to me that it might be some sort of image search that looks for outlines...

Dec 29, 2014#570

what do you want to use imagesearch for? i have bad experiences with imagesearch concerning CoC since every building looks different so imagesearch doesnt work very well!
